Who is a candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
The procedure to place veneers is minimally invasive, and most patients won’t even need anesthetic in order to prep the teeth for the new restorations. To determine if you’re a good candidate, we’ll perform a complete examination. Your front teeth should be otherwise healthy enough for veneers. Older veneers can be removed and replaced easily in our office.
What happens during the procedure for Porcelain Veneers?
The procedure to place veneers will begin with preparing the front teeth. This is done by slightly buffing and roughing up the surface of the teeth themselves. We then take impressions and use these molds to craft brand new veneers that are specifically made for your smile. You will be scheduled to come in for a second appointment to have the veneers placed. We place each individual veneer one-by-one to ensure they look and feel natural. You can treat your veneers like you would your natural teeth, and you can expect them to last for about a decade before they should be replaced. Veneers are a wonderful way to transform your smile in a short period of time.
